Glory to God in the Highest April 2010

Here Comes the Summer!

Summer camp at Miracle Mountain Ranch is fast approaching, and that means volunteers will be joining our team! Not only will we gain some much-needed help, but we will also have the opportunity to mentor them and invest into their lives. We will get to lead the volunteer group Bible studies in the morning for a few weeks too! Two first year apprentices will be working with us this summer also, Tim Bare and Abby Caple.

Our girls will be transitioning into their summer positions also. Please pray for them. Tabby is planning on working as horsemanship instructor over the summer and Sarah is going to be a wrangler in the barn. Both of them will have many opportunities to share their faith with ranchers and volunteers. Pray for them that they share the hope within them boldly!

We’re All About People

I (Andy) have been working with one of the first year apprentices named Tim Bare performing housekeeping and maintenance duties around the ranch for the past three months. Before we get started on our day we spend a few minutes learning a hymn together. The first hymn we learned was called “Are You Washed In The Blood?”. It’s common for Tim and I to break out in song while we clean rooms together. It reminds me that God’s Word says to “Teach and admonish one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs…” and now I understand why!

Our Calling

God has laid a burden and a vision on both of our hearts to start a discipleship ministry. In response to God, we are learning as much as we can about discipleship in order to avoid any problems we might face early on. Second, we are looking for a ministry that desires to start a discipleship program. That’s where we are currently. In March, we had the opportunity to go down to Georgia and Tennessee to check out two ministries that want to start discipleship programs. We are waiting for God’s peace and direction and we would appreciate you joining us in prayer for His will to be done.

ATTENTION

On the morning of April the 23rd, 2010 Beth found out that she was pregnant! She’s about a month along, so that puts the due date in December!
